PAL - Peninsula Athletic League Information
The San Francisco Soccer Referee Association provides officials for all Peninsula Athletic league matches. The Peninsula Athletic League is a CCS "Super League" encompassing the seventeen public high schools in San Mateo County. Sixteen schools have soccer programs. Competition is organized into two divisions, Bay and Ocean, determined by strength of the program (Bay being the top division.) Schools are promoted or relegated based on their season results and expectations for the following season. Boys and Girls programs are placed independently. PAL schools field a Varsity team and a optionally a Frosh/Soph team. (Jefferson and Westmoor do not have Girls F/S teams.)
PAL has a pre-season followed by regular season contests. The 2012 regular season runs from January 3, 2012 to February 16, 2012. The top 3 schools in Bay division and the top school in Ocean division are automatic qualifiers for CCS playoffs.
Because SFSRA assigns all PAL matches, we are able to track games won or lost, scores and misconduct. (See link on the right side of this page.) Please provide timely and accurate game reports so that all SFSRA referees can benefit from this information.
